Book Submission covers the cost of listing either your paperback or hardcover book on the Simplie Indie store.

The ISBN is a unique code for every edition of every book. It is not required for books sold only on Simplie Indie’s online store, but many other stores and retailers require it. When you purchase an ISBN, your book is automatically registered with Bowker, the company responsible for maintaining the Books In Print database.

A bar code is required by virtually all retailers, because it allows price and ISBN information to be optically scanned. Simplie Indie, however, does not require you to use a bar code.

Merchandise Setup is a one-time fee that covers any items you want to sell through the online store. You can add items at any time in the future with no additional fees.

A Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress assigns to titles most likely to be acquired by the Library of Congress. Librarians also use the LCCN to obtain information on book titles.

Copyright registration is not required to provide a copyright on your book. Your book is automatically protected by copyright laws. However, if someone copies your book, you will need a registered copyright (with the Copyright Office) before you can file an infringement suit. If you register your copyright when you publish, it clearly establishes the date of creation of your work.

Social Media Setup creates a complete online presence for you and your book, allowing people interested in your book to find you. An online presence is a crucial component of your marketing campaign.
